About
Fr Demetrios Bathrellos is a Lecturer in Theology (Patristic Studies) at St Andrew’s. After taking two undergraduate degrees, in Classics and Theology from the University of Athens, Fr Demetrios studied Systematic Theology at King’s College London, from which he received his PhD in 2001.

He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies, Cambridge, UK and of the Volos Academy of Theological Studies, Greece, as well as a Member of the Bioethics Committee of the Church of Greece.
